TIUS-The Invulnerable Urban Station

new-LOOK OUT FOR TIUS STICKERS POSTED IN VARIOUS LOCATIONS AROUND THE FRASER VALLEY TO PROMOTE THE STATION IDEA. STICKERS ARE SHAPED AS THE NON-ANTHRO TURTLE MASCOT. TIUS ISN'T OUT YET BUT JUST FOR FUN SO THAT IT FEELS LIKE IT'S OUT, THOUGHT I'D TRY.

Here are just a few of the features TIUS will introduce that'll be revolutionary to Fraser Valley commercial radio...

--no outvoting of upcoming trax. No times when there's a chance a song will be coming up but gets outvoted & not aired after all. Cuz it'd be disappointing to you if you were looking forward to the possibility of it airing & it never did, right? It's happened w/ me

--hooryay, listen no matter how early u wake up, no gayass morning show of talking at all at that time

--better archiving of history than The Beat 94.5. Within years of TIUS's lifetime, maybe you'll get curious to know all about how TIUS originally was, what trax it used to have, what years it was around, etc. Other stations just let their history remain a mystery. The TIUS site though, when the station's launched, will include spots for you to look back at its old forms

--more interesting, distinctive cast than The Beat currently has. Programmers of TIUS will make up imaginary quirky staff for the station & voice-act them, including a superhero, a viking, etc

--the return of the distinctive DJ backgrounds! I, the TIUS manager, have pre-composed some reports' background beats that go back to ones that are more interesting than the ones that stations have used recently (which were just a generic drum beat that has no other instruments)

--extra sfx thrown into trax randomly thruout main hours. Lasers, ufo beams, fireworks & more

--possibly more flashbacks than other stations. More likely that semi-oldies such as Foolish, Gota Get Thru This & Hit Em Up Style will come up when ur listening

--safe message board for TIUS fans to discuss its trax, without getting bashed by haters (the intention's that this forum'll be heavily monitored) will be on this site when TIUS is launched

Also.. wanna see how strongly the Fraser Valley USED to realize the need of an urban station in Canada? (& still obviosuly should?) Then see the outdated http://www.carleton.ca/JMC/cnews/27032002/opinion.shtml by Herman Chan

notice: TIUS doesn't actually have a decent amount of programmers or supporters as of August 2010. The site author's currently the only potential staff member so far but would like to put these station ideas into existence & needs more help from others. If u have any advice, email krahe@starspath.com

WARNING: IF YOU ARE A STAFF MEMBER OF THE BEAT 94.5 FM READING THIS, DO NOT STEAL ANY IDEAS AT ALL FROM THE TIUS FEATURES LISTED HERE. I'd very much like to be known as the one who honestly came up w/ all these features 1st.
